Quadient teams up with Xero to automate your small business accounting.

Quadient, a mail solutions provider, has partnered with cloud-based accounting software Xero to automate and streamline accounting processes for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Quadient’s Accounts Payable (AP) solution integrates with Xero to eliminate the need for manual data import or export, reducing the risk of human error and accelerating cash flow. The solution also provides businesses with a clearer understanding of their AP status by synchronizing all AP processes, from receiving invoices and purchase orders to inputting payment data.

The integration of Quadient’s AP solution with Xero’s accounting software allows for seamless data collection and inputting into Xero using optical character recognition (OCR) capabilities. This OCR technology, which incorporates AI, can eliminate 83% of data entry, reducing the average cost of processing an invoice from $16 to $2.

Prudence Musubi, a senior accountant for ArcFyre International, a joint customer of Quadient and Xero, commented on the benefits of the integrated solution. She praised the system for effectively eliminating duplicate payments and streamlining the coding process. Musubi also highlighted the ability to easily pull reports to verify the accuracy of invoice data captured by the system. She concluded that the onboarding of Quadient AP with Xero was smooth, and ArcFyre International is already seeing positive results from the streamlined process.

Quadient’s chief solution officer, Chris Hartigan, expressed his excitement about the partnership with Xero, noting that the company’s strategy is to establish partnerships with major enterprise resource planning and accounting platforms to bring leading technology solutions to customers. By partnering with Xero, Quadient aims to expand access to its AP solution for more accounting teams, allowing them to focus on more strategic decision-making rather than manual invoice and payment processing.

The partnership between Quadient and Xero in North America and the United Kingdom is expected to benefit the 3.95 million subscribers worldwide who rely on Xero for their business accounting. Quadient AP has recently been named a Leader in Quadrant Knowledge Solutions’ report SPARK Matrix for Accounts Payable Automation, further validating its position as a leading solution in the market.
