Fort Liberty’s commander, Lt. General Chris Donahue, addressed the state of Fort Liberty during a round table meeting. He emphasized the importance of training soldiers to adapt to the changing battlefield, which includes the use of artificial intelligence and technology such as unmanned systems, electronic warfare, attack munitions, and drones. Donahue also highlighted the need to take care of soldiers’ families, proposing the construction of a state-of-the-art STEM high school on post. He identified the top priorities for the coming year as ensuring soldiers are prepared to fight and win, as well as ensuring the well-being of their families. Donahue is working with local and state leaders to make the construction of the new high school a reality.
