The Standby X90 CP150 compact controller, developed by B&R Industrial Automation, offers a unique standby mode that eliminates the wait for electronics to start up after the engine is shut down for a short time. This feature saves time and increases productivity for operators.
The CP150 uses the vehicle’s battery for the standby function, allowing the application to remain active and quickly switch back to operating mode after a wake-up event triggered by engine ignition, CAN or I/O. It also has an integrated battery monitor to prevent the battery from discharging during longer periods of standby.
The CP150 is designed to withstand harsh environments, with protection against dust, moisture, extreme temperatures, and vibrations. It has an IP69K protection rating and can be washed down with high pressure. It also has the option to connect via POWERLINK to other components.
This compact controller is a valuable addition to B&R’s extensive portfolio of controllers for machines used in harsh environments, particularly in the medium machine market with slightly reduced system requirements. By eliminating the wait time for electronics to start up, it improves productivity for operators and reduces their environmental footprint by decreasing emissions.
